The Advanced IGBT MOSFET Gate driver DI30A-25W10-NA is a single-channel, isolated gate driver module with peak 30A gate charge/discharge capability. This module, which can be used as a low-side drive or high-side drive, can perform 1200V IGBT and SiC MOSFET Gate control. With these features, the DI30A-25W10-NA is offered as a powerful and flexible solution in a wide range of applications.

There are many protection features on the module. These protections ensure the safe and efficient operation of both the module and the overall system. Each protective feature prolongs the life of the module and the overall system by safeguarding against potential hazards. These protection measures are as follows;

  • Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Interlock: In operations where high-side and low-side control occur simultaneously, multiple PWM signals work in synchronization. When these signals intersect, it can lead to malfunction or even damage the device. The PWM Interlock function acts as a safeguard, ensuring these signals operate in tandem without interfering with one another.

  • Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO): In extremely low voltage situations, the UVLO feature is activated and protects the gate driver. This in particular prevents errors that may occur as a result of a voltage drop.

  • Desaturation (DESAT): DESAT protection monitors the desaturation state of components such as IGBTs or MOSFETs. Desaturation pushes the switching device to operate at its maximum limits. In this case, DESAT structure protects the component by lowering the gate voltage.

  • Active Miller Clamp (AMC): AMC is utilized to prevent excessive voltage during Miller plateaus. This feature safeguards the driver against overvoltage.

  • Negative Bias (NBIAS): NBIAS are used to reduce Miller effects. Especially in systems operating at high speeds, the Miller effect can lead to false triggers. NBIAS are used to carry out these effects at a negative level and prevent false triggers.

  • Gate Overvoltage & Transient Protections: These protections are activated in case of excessive voltage and fluctuation that may occur in the gate connection and protect the gate driver.
